This is our second time working with Jill Velicer Photography; we booked her for our daughter's newborn photographs and were incredibly pleased with the quality of the photos and her artistic talent in capturing that precious time in our daughter's life. So naturally we decided to go with Jill again for a fall photo session, and once again she didn't disappoint! The photos are beautiful, high quality and perfectly capture our daughter's blooming personality. Patient, Kind, Amazing talent! This was our second session with Jill Velicer Photography over this past year. I can honestly say I've LOVED every photo in each session. Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Although I specialize in newborn photography, I also photograph babies, maternity, couples, children and families. Sessions are relaxed and enjoyable. Natural expressions and candid moments are captured of loved ones. Custom photography should be a moment of capturing your love, not stiff-posed, fake-smiles. These will be your memories in years to come.

Your 25-35 professional fully-edited images are presented in color and black and white at the photographers discretion.
Digital files, linen prints, gallery wrapped canvases, wall portraits and albums are available.

A. How early should I contact you for a session?
As soon as you can! I only take a limited number of sessions a month, so the sooner we reserve a date, the better.
Maternity sessions – Women are best photographed near the 32nd week of pregnancy. Please inquire for maternity/newborn session combinations.
Newborns are preferably photographed between 5-6 days of life (but, at least before 2 weeks of age). They are sleepier and still curled from being in the womb. Each day newborns uncurl more and become more alert (and colic, acne and cradle cap can emerge as well). If your newborn has already arrived, please send me a little note via e-mail or call to see if I happen to have a session date available. I am honored to capture this new chapter in your family’s story.
Babies/Children/families/couples – inquire for availability. I’d love to hear from you!

A. Where and when are sessions held?
Newborn sessions are held on-location in the parent’s home. This provides comfort for all as everything the baby needs is in the home. No traveling for the new parents. I bring all the materials needed. Newborns and babies photograph best in the morning (starting about 9-10am) when light is soft and they are typically well-rested and in good spirits.
Other sessions are generally held at an outdoor location. I have some favorite locations I can recommend, otherwise we will discuss any locations you are thinking about. I recommend photographing in the last 1-2 hours before sunset as this is the ‘golden hour’ when light is complimentary to faces and warm.
