I solicited Mindy's assistance in planning the interior design of our new home, including the renovation of a garage area. Mindy took more than adequate time in each room. While she was in our home, she interacted well with our three children (all under age 3). As we went through our home, Mindy first heard my goal for each room. She then incorporated my thoughts into practical ideas that fit into my desired budget. Her suggestions/solutions were far less expensive than my ideas had previously been. Mindy was great about contacting us to explain her fees and intended role in our project prior to beginning services. Our goals are laid out in a three year plan and now I can actually look forward to renovating my living space!

I don't think It's fair to charge for travel time.I shouldn't have to pay you if you don't stage my house. We all drive to and from work daily. Others are giving a free consult then charge by the hour or have package plans to deal w staging after they are hired.

Hello Tracy. There are many design firms that do charge a trip fee for long distance or employers that pay their employees a mileage rate. We charge a $20 per hour fee for our traveling costs. This seems to be the best way for our customers to understand and does not require any tracking other than time. We use mapquest quotes for time which has worked well for us. You are the first person who has expressed concerns. I might add that if you have quotes that you say are flat fees they possibly have their misc. costs figured in that estimate. We can price this different ways...we were trying to keep this as simple as possible. We work fast and have done this for many years. Let us know if we can help you in any way. Have a great day
