Introduction: SoFlo Test Prep is a team of top-scoring tutors who provide exceptional SAT and ACT tutoring tailored to each student's strengths and weaknesses. We have even created our own digital platform for the SAT with over 40 practice exams. Even before COVID, all of our tutoring was 1-on-1 over Zoom, so our entire program is built around online tutoring. How are we so effective? Our tutors use SoFlo's proven three-step method: assessment, strategy, and practice. Students start with our free diagnostic test, so we can gather data and build a study plan to target areas of weakness. Students will then meet 1-on-1 with a tutor to introduce SAT/ACT strategies, teach the fundamentals of the test, and review homework problems. What materials do we provide? - Diagnostic Test: Assess your child's strengths and weaknesses, determine specific topic areas to review. - Homework: 1-2 hours of homework per week, assignments are real SAT/ACT tests from the last several years. In class, we turn mistakes from homework into learning opportunities. - Online Modules: Access to real SAT/ACT tests with answers and explanation videos, tips and tricks specific to each section of the test, supplemental worksheets for students who want extra practice. When are we available? We are very flexible when it comes to scheduling. We will meet on days and times that fit your schedule. Because tutoring is 1-on-1 over Zoom, you can pick your time. What is your pricing? We offer our Test Prep services on a pay-as-you-go basis. Our Core price is $75/hour, and our Premium price is $100/hour. This price includes all diagnostic tests, homework, and online learning modules. Additional Information: - Achieve a score improvement of 240 points on the SAT and 5 points on the ACT with just 40 hours of tutoring. - We are constantly learning, training, and preparing our tutors for excellence. I wanted to wait until the updated SAT results were in before completing this rating. I’m happy to report that my child’s score went up 80 points in just a few sessions! She loved her tutor and I believe the company did a wonderful job of matching her with someone with a similar personality and yet who could help balance her weaknesses. I would definitely recommend!

SoFlo provides amazing SAT prep services and the tutors are true professionals! We hired SoFlo to tutor our senior after she took the SAT once and was extremely unsatisfied with her score. SoFlo Tutors did an incredible job preparing my daughter with their test prep services. Their tutoring and curriculum is of the highest quality. My daughter Kelsey said she has never learned so quickly. In only 5 sessions she has improved her SAT score 260 points from a 1270 to a 1530. That score increase is going to change her life! The results speak for themselves. SoFlo is the real deal. I urge you to give Adam and his team a try. They are capable, friendly, and affordable. Their SAT tutoring delivered great results and my daughter also enjoyed her sessions. At one point she even called sessions 'fun'. I thought she might not be excited when I told her she was going to sit with an SAT tutor and that the tutoring would be virtual. How fun can the SAT be? But when the tutor Amelia sent us a 4 week progress report she reported that my daughter was engaged during sessions and always came to class with her homework completed. They focused on building a relationship with my daughter and it paid off because she was much more enthusiastic about doing the necessary work Amelia tutored Kelsey during her Junior High School year for 2 separate SAT dates. On our initial meeting/consultation with SoFlo, we discussed my daughter's baseline score from her PSAT along with whether we should consider ACT Tutoring or continue preparing for the SAT. SoFlo gave my daughter a combo ACT/SAT diagnostic test so we could figure out which exam was best for her. Weekly tutoring meetings to teach testing tricks and fundamentals were paired with homework assignments. Our tutor Amelia did a great job of adjusting homework based on my daughter's existing heavy course load. She made sure my daughter was never overwhelmed. Between scheduled test prep sessions, she was always available for quick questions or clarifications on practice test topics. I'm so happy with my daughter's 260 point increase! Give SoFlo a try. They are the best!!

We reached out to SoFlo Tutors for our daughter to improve her SAT score with 1-on-1 SAT Tutoring. The process was easy and straight forward. Christina spoke with us to learn about our needs and then paired our daughter with Stacie, who was a perfect fit. Stacie is better than every other tutor my daughter previously used. I am very glad we found them for test prep services. I asked my daughter what she thought of Stacie and this was her response. “She helped me boost my score and pushed me to stay focused on tutoring sessions. Rather than just taking practice tests and going over them, Stacie broke things down into smaller lessons and explained the issue in a way that is easy to grasp. Classes were a good mix of testing strategies/tips and core concepts that were personalized based on where I needed help. Stacie was also fun to talk with and lessons fit into my busy schedule.” SoFlo also gave us access to a self-paced online video course that my daughter used to study and do homework from when she wasn't tutoring. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Students start with our free diagnostic test, so we can gather data and build a study plan to target areas of weakness. We also can advise if they should focus on SAT or ACT and which test dates to sign up for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am Adam Shlomi the founder of SoFlo SAT Tutoring. I went to Georgetown University, scored a 1570 on the SAT, and have been tutoring for the last 5 years. All of our tutors scored at least a 1500 on the SAT and our most recent hire graduated Cum Laude from Princeton.
