Introduction: An instrument is a new, exciting tool to express yourself. Learning it should be a joyful discovery, not a chore.
Like all learning, however, focus and structure are key. Our teachers - themselves lifelong learners, like all passionate artists - have a wide set of tools to make sure their students learn to learn, acquire the discipline to practice autonomously and develop problem-solving skills, that are useful much beyond music.
No two musicians are the same, and so no two children (or adults) learn the same way. Every student has an individualized curriculum, built around their natural passions and specific needs. Every learning plan covers different aspects of musical literacy, including rhythm, harmony, reading, improvising, interpreting, memorizing.
Most of all, music is a social activity. Music students who learn to play together also learn the value of listening, cooperating and creating together - “breathing” music together.

My kids (5 & 8) have taken music classes (mostly piano, but now also upright double bass) with the school for several years now and our experience has been fantastic throughout.
Our teacher (Giuseppe) is wonderful with kids and strikes a good balance between encouraging and challenging both at an age-appropriate level. He manages to keep both engaged throughout the entire 1-hour class, by switching it up when the child gets “stuck” or when he feels concentration is fading. In fact, he does this with adults too, as my husband and I have also done classes.
His communication with us as parents is great, he is punctual, communicates well around progress or challenges and keeps the tone positive. Through the school, our kids have also been able to get exposure to other instruments, which got our daughter into also learning a string instrument, entirely by her own desire.
The school organizes a recital 2x per year, which has helped encourage practise and working towards a goal.
Highly recommend them.

The performer did a great job. He was on time and worked well with the staff at the venue. He played the songs very good and communicated well.

Giuseppe has a special way with young musicians. He is able to make it fun and exciting but maintain discipline and focus. I love that he spends time on all aspects of the music - not just performing, but also music theory and composition. My son loves his piano classes and looks forward to it every week!

My kids have learned so much from taking classes here - not just a love for music, but also discipline and consistency. The teachers are phenomenal musicians and amazing with children, so patient and able to cater the lessons for each child. I highly and unreservedly recommend these music classes.
