I had mentioned to friend considering looking for a Reiki practitioner due to me not being in tuned harmonically with life. He is a bit of a Taoist and mentioned in his journeys he has found one such practitioner that, in his words, stated he has found and knows one master Reiki practitioner with American Indian root that has proven to be more effective in the exchange than any other. I have wondered why I wanted to try Reiki and have never tried it before. My friend sent me the brochure Cathy Simons had put together through email. ... For me it was in my mind. I had situational issues I did not know how to approach. Out of my turbid mindset of not getting the voice out of my head, I called Cathy. She answered and I asked if she was Cathy's secretary. Her state of being was very grounded, as well as grounding. We set the time and place and I arrived for a Reiki session I knew little to nothing about. The time of talk I found no reason to hide, after all a man reaching out for help in balancing the energetic flow of bioelectricity (Ki), was in my mind a rare breed. ... But let me cut a long story short and say that when the session was done that I personally felt like I was wrapped in a cocoon, as I came off that table I felt the existence of new life and had no idea what was going on. They say that 'the proof of the pudding is in the tasting' and this Reiki master, Cathy Simmons, is now in my phone of personal contacts. .... My review of this Reiki practitioner, is that there is value and it helps in bringing about new life. I don't think the Reiki to be cure all, it seems to harmonize the body, the cure all for me is my performance in life. But if I am off in my performance I know who to call. - Daniel

Cathy's light work stands out above others; it's just an observation, after several monthly Reiki sessions, and I don't really know why it is; several others who've experienced it agree; it might be because she cares, she puts alot of herself into it, it's a true calling for her, her gift, and she lets it resonate so that anyone who she works with gets to share in that gift.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Payments can be made with cash or credit cards using the Venmo App. I will work out a price that works for you.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will do a meditation before the session to inquire what type of essential oils are to be diffused to provide assistance upon your arrival into the healing space. I will share with you which oils are diffusing and the emotional impact of the oils. Clients are amazed by the accuracy, the immediate benefits of feeling more relaxed, and more connected with the healing energy present in the space. We spend time in conversation. I learn about the challenges that you are facing and the outcomes that you desire. I will listen intently without offering advice or coaching. This is your time to share and inform the me of the reason for your request for a session. When you are complete with the sharing then we will begin the Reiki session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Cherokee Medicine Woman. I incorporate the teachings into my Reiki sessions. I am trained in 9 healing modalities, certified in 6. This sets my healing sessions apart from all others. I have practiced martial arts for 20 years, Kung Fu , Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi and Qi Gong. I have learned the movements and methods to heal the body within and without through exercise and diet. I practice meditation daily and have been teaching meditation classes for over 8 years. This explains my ability to put clients at ease quickly and effortlessly. I live by the Reiki Principles: Just for today, I will not worry. ... Just for today, I will not be angry. ... Just for today, I will be grateful. ... Just for today, I will do my work honestly. ... Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.
