FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In order to price my services to remain competitive, I offer virus removal for $50, and on-site home network diagnostic and tune up for $50 (waiving the home service call fee for new clients). For custom computer builds for gaming rigs or servers I charge a simple 10% of the cost of parts and I'll take care of planning, acquisition, and building a machine custom tailored to your needs. When service can not be completed remotely, I offer a variety of options to my clients to work for even the most busy schedule. Home service calls within the Metro-Detroit region are a flat $30, and scheduled pick-up and drop-off service is $40. Alternatively you can drop off your machine to me and pick it up at your convenience once it's ready.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's important to me to build lasting relationships with my clients. I strive to make every problem as pain free for you as it can be. Dealing with a computer problem can be a pain, and many people are intimidated by the technical jargon they encounter when trying to diagnose an issue themselves. I make sure each and every client knows that their computer is in good hands, and I make a point of explaining the problem in an understandable way. My goal is to create happy clients who will contact me again the next time they have a computer issue at work or at home - or if they have a business and need a new website, or a facelift on an old one. I want every client to feel that I can help them with whatever their computer needs are.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates in Math and Science with a Concentration in Computer Science, a Foundations of Computer Science Certificate, a Programming in C++ Advanced Certificate, and a Linux / Unix Systems Certificate from Washtenaw Community College. However, the bulk of my knowledge is self taught, having been gained from years of experience building computers, troubleshooting issues, and working in the field.
