Introduction: I create a lesson plan for each of my students based upon your goals. I encourage all of my students to focus on learning songs and styles that they are interested in. I also record all of my students from time to time so that they have an audio record of their progress and something to share with their families and friends. Please contact me for an interview at your convenience. I always conduct an interview first, to make sure that we are a good fit for each other and establish goals from the very beginning so that we are all on the same page. I am a professional composer for film/tv, video games and other media. Some of my credits include NBC, ABC, Showtime, Cinemax, A&E, IFC, MTV, Chrysler, and many more. Pictures of the studio are available at at my business website. I teach because my students remind me every day why I do music, because I love it and I enjoy sharing it.

Erick Gilbertson was my piano instructor for six years. It was only after I'd graduated high school and left to study abroad that I no longer was able to continue lessons. Erick was patient, supportive, respectful, and greatly encouraging. It is because of him that I first began to write music, and it is with the 12 Media Music studio that I first recorded my own compositions. This room is one of the best I have ever worked in. If you can't do it at 12 Media; you probably can't do it. Great mics and outboard gear you would expect in any world class arsenal; and engineers that know how to use them. I highly recommend!

Erick was my son's teacher for about 5 years both in our home and in his studio. Michael progressed well under Erick's tutelage. Erick did a great job of selecting music that would entice Michael to want to play and learn. He was always patient, even when it was clear Michael hadn't always been diligent with his practice. I highly recommend Erick for piano lessons for kids.

I always like to meet with my potential clients first to get introduced, set goals and see if we are a good fit for each other. I want the learning experience to be enjoyable and successful. In the recording studio, it is about achieving your recording goals on the budget that you have. Again, I prefer to get to know about your project and your goals before committing to it.
