- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I like to start by getting to know my new customer and their project a little better. Once I feel comfortable enough to know how to help them, I generally start by reading through their project and then I start editing! Once a first edit is finished I'll send it back, have them look over it, and then give me any comments or questions they might have. I want them to feel like this is the best manuscript or essay they have ever written when I am done with it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. I took a couple classes specifically on editing and also spent most of my English classes editing essays for classmates while they did the same for me.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always known I wanted to be an editor. I grew up writing, and began editing my mom's manuscripts at the age of 12. I just really love helping other people improve their writing.
