FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Please contact me for session fees and product pricing. I offer packages that greatly add to the value you receive.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When the client contacts me about a shoot, I ensure the date is available, gather contact information, and answer any pressing questions they may have. I email a form to gather details for weddings and boudoir shoots. * For weddings, I will arrive at least an hour prior to our planned start to assess the location and lighting. I will interact with and direct your guests throughout the day as needed to ensure your "must have shots" list is completed and I will add in several others to ensure diversity - traditional portrait for grandma along with fine art for your home and pictures of all the details to ensure your album is complete. * Boudoir shoots: I will have a rough plan of the flow for your shoot before you arrive. We will go through the items you brought and get a sense of what we want to use. You may enjoy a drink during this time to help you relax and feel more comfortable. I will start with make-up application for the softer look you selected, and then I will coach and cheerlead you through several poses. For the Gold Package, we will take a short break for a snack and then continue by creating a bolder makeup look. We will shoot for another hour or so. I recommend this package because your confidence and comfort level will increase exponentially as our time together progresses so the most stunning images are usually taken later in the shoot. Additionally, you'll love showing off your softer feminine side along with your bolder dramatically beautiful side. * Timeliness is important to me. I will try to have your shoot edited within a week. Once completed, I will contact you to view your photos. I include up to 15 minutes of additional editing upon request, and $1/min after the first 15 minutes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
ABOUT SHANNON MACLEAN I grew up assisting my dad at his photography studio in Michigan at weddings and senior sessions, however, I didn't establish Chandelier Studio until I was nearly 30. In the meantime, I pursued my calling as an Air Force flight surgeon. After 8 years of adventures, I chose to leave the service to enjoy more of life with my two fun toddlers and to allow time for creativity. Our family moved from the Seattle area to Albuquerque in August of 2017 into a home in the foothills with 600 square feet of dedicated beautiful studio space. EDUCATION & CREDENTIALS Shannon has completed over one hundred hours of photography workshops and studied over 3500 pages of text on photography and editing techniques. She is a member of Professional Photographers of America, and took second place in an Army-wide photo competition in 2017. Chandelier Studio, LLC is a licensed and insured business.
