I am a landscape photographer and have been acquainted with Jae for a few years now. He and I get together with another friend every year to shoot. I've always been impressed with his professionalism and focus on the task at hand, even out in nature. He is courteous, helpful and a joy to shoot with. His work is beautiful and I would be proud to have it on my walls.
We've also done some street photography and his ability to bring out the personality and emotion of perfect strangers is a pleasure to see in the finished product.
His portrait work that I've seen covers a wide range of styles, again bringing out the personality and emotions of his subjects, even more so than with his street photos.

Working with Jae was an effortless process that resulted in some fantastic photos for my client's website. My client makes concrete countertops, sinks, and various types of furniture. Jae went to the client's workshop and took some excellent candids and portraits. He really captured the look and feel that I had discussed with Jae prior to the shoot. He was also able to optimize the photos so that they would display well on a website. I would highly recommend Jae to anyone looking for a photographer who is both skilled and able to understand and be responsive towards your project's requirements. When it comes to portraiture, Jae has a way of drawing out and capturing the personality of his subjects, paying as much attention to who they are as he does to the technical skill required in any given situation. His results range from soft, sweet, sassy or sexy to downright edgy. I firmly believe it's his confidence in execution that instills confidence in the people he photographs, and his playfully experimental side often makes for a beautifully unique representation of a single moment.
