FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I determine my pricing based on duration of the event, location, and timing (if it is a last minute request or during a major holiday I may charge a bit more).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a google doc I share with my customers that will get them started in thinking about the atmosphere, music, and announcements they want at their event. I also like to meet in person with my customers afterwards to get even more details on the kind of music they want played (what some favorite artists are, what the demographic of the event will be, are their any songs that are personal to them they'd like incorporated, any favorite artists) , as well as any other details like time line and schedule for the event day of and making sure any announcements are clear and names are pronounced correctly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In terms of MC'ing and working with a crowd I have over 15 years of experience and training organizing and leading events for teens and young adults.I have lead music, program and skits, lead games, and given talks. This has taught me a lot about how to read a crowd and to know the right timing to keep the energy where it needs to be. As for music and Djing I have been Djing weddings, proms, and other events for over 10 years. I also host a weekly radio show online that has taught me a lot about crafting a mix and engaging with an audience every week to play songs I know they will love but also introduce them to some things they may not have heard yet.
