- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Fees are always negotiable. As a general guideline, smaller door designs typically range from $100-$200, where a large full-wall painting will range from $800 to $1500. Special offers and coupons accepted for discounts. Free in-home consultations available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer contacts me about painting a mural at their home or business, I ask the following questions: 1. What do you want the painting to be? (fairy tale, outer space, etc...) 2. How big do you want the mural to be? 3. Do you have a deadline in mind? 4. Will the room where I will be working be occupied at the time? 5. Does anyone in the household/business where the painting will take place have asthma or any other breathing difficulties? 6. When would you like the project to start? 7. Will there be time restrictions or certain days I cannot work? From there, I make sure I have a very clear picture of what the client is wanting. Sometimes, I'll provide a preliminary color sketch of what I have in mind to paint. When the client is satisfied with the concept, I'll set up a time to begin work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've had a keen interest in art since I was a very young child, and I have been a professional artist for over two decades. The first mural I painted was back in junior high school when the principal asked me to paint a historical scene in the main elementary school hallway. I have also designed yearbook covers, illustrated many books and fiction covers. Aside from painting murals, I teach art to students 5 years of age and up!
