Junling's Piano Studio

Introduction: Hi everyone, I hope this message finds you well! I am Junling and am a professional pianist working at Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Boston Ballelt. I have been play piano for 20+ years and have a Masters degree in Piano Performance. I love performance, but I am more passionate with teaching piano. “A teaching artist, by definition, is a two-career professional: a working artist and a working educator. As a working artist is they are involved in an ongoing process of discovery, problem solving, discipline and refinement of skills in their discipline. As a working educator, it is essential that the artist is also developing a knowledge base and skills to be an effective partner in education. Achieving a meaningful balance between these two professions, whereby one feeds the other, is an ongoing process that requires a deepening awareness for the teaching artist of what their teaching brings to their art and what their art teaches them about learning.” My goal is to become a better teacher by having a chance to teach students with different interests and tastes in music like Classical, Jazz, Pop, or Broadway and to help students to approach their goal in music. I always believe that creating a good bond with my students is the most important aspect of teaching. Ever since I had my experience with the teacher that changed my life, I have always not only had a love for playing piano but also a love for teaching. I have tried my absolute best to replicate her formula to share the wonderful experience I had with my current students, and it's something I plan on doing for the rest of my life.
