Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Unobtrusive work during an event coverage. Plenty of good action shots while covering a sports game or a theatre production. Studying the portrait subjects and finding better angles and poses, getting them to relax in front of the camera. Willingness to put in the time to deliver better pictures during the shoot and in post production. "A picture is worth a thousand words". Bringing out the beauty in people, nature and architecture is what makes photography exciting. Athletic field, concert hall, conference room, theatre stage or a quiet backyard - there are plenty of memories to capture. I enjoy taking family and individual portraits outdoors, spending time with the subjects, getting them used to the camera while observing and finding their best expressions to capture. It's worth it to take 10 shots to get that perfect one that will bring out the inner beauty of the person, no matter the age.

Nina asked me if she could do a portrait sitting of our family for her portfolio. I thought about it, and realized what I really wanted was photos of our two Golden Retrievers, by themselves and with my husband and me. The dogs are ages 10 and 11, and, although I have lots of cell phone photos of them, they are not of great quality, nor am I in any of them! I knew Nina was a dog owner herself, so I asked her if she would consider doing such a photo shoot, and she was excited to accept. She arrived bright and early on the appointed day. She quickly made friends with Eddie and Bridget, the two dogs, and we got right down to business. The first thing I wanted to do was to recreate a pose from an 11-year-old photo where I’m holding Eddie in my lap, on the day we brought him home as a 9-week-old puppy. I even put on the same shirt I was wearing in that long ago picture! It was a little difficult to get a 70-lb. dog to curl up in my lap the way he did as a puppy, but we finally managed to do it, and I was very pleased with the results. Then Nina took many shots (500+), both inside and outside, first of each dog alone, then of the dogs with my husband, then with me, then of all four of us together, then of the dogs together playing with their favorite toys. Nina was very imaginative in the poses she suggested for us and for the dogs. She did a great job of working with them, using every manner of sound and body language to get them to look at the camera! We had such fun with her that day. She made it easy to be relaxed and just enjoy the dogs. I have a terrible smile when I’m being told to smile, but she didn’t have to tell me to smile once all morning! Within three days, she had distilled those 500+ photos down to the best 81, which she sent to us in a ZIP file. There are so many different groups of shots, and as hard as it was, I think I’ve finally identified my favorites in each group. I’m going to have a few of my very favorite ones printed for framing. She helped us to preserve some very precious memories. I would highly recommend Nina for her photographic skills. She is also very personable, and fun to work with, and is able to coax winning smiles out of dogs and humans alike!

We hired Nina at the last minute to shoot our daughter's marriage proposal. She did an amazing job catching all of the special moments under a dark night sky with Christmas lights all around! Not an easy task to accomplish under difficult conditions all while hiding in the bushes! The final product was better than we could have imagined, and we had the edited photos loaded for viewing within a day! Will hire Nina again!

That conspiracy we had to run was so much fun. Thank you for making me a part of such a special occasion!
