FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My hourly rate that I quote you is for the hour long training session but it also includes taxes, gas, insurance, and the cost for my travel time. I have different payment options and payment plans available to make training more accessible to you. I do not always charge double for working with multiple dogs in a multi-dog household.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There is always an initial conversation where I get to know your family and your dog(s). This typically happens through a meet and greet. During the meet and greet we also go over your training needs and wants. I come up with a training plan that is tailored for your family and then we get started as soon as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started training my own dog and then I moved upwards to become a professional dog trainer working as the head dog trainer at Petco. I am currently continuing my dog training education by attending various workshops and seminars. I am also working towards my goal of putting myself through another accredited school to learn even more about dog behavior. The science of dogs is constantly updating and I like to make sure that I have the most updated positive training techniques available. I have also worked in other areas of the dog world including boarding facilities, dog daycare, shelters/rescues, grooming salons, and veterinary clinics. Each of those areas has helped to expand my knowledge of different dog breeds, temperaments, and personalities.
