Introduction: I am an adventurous spirit from the NYC Metro area who came to the mat in 2009. I view the practice of yoga as a life-long journey which I delight to share with others. I have practiced various styles of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Kripalu, Kundalini, and is influenced by the many lineages of her teachers.
My approach to yoga is strength and alignment-focused but infused with philosophy, inspiration, and intelligent flow. My classes aim to relax the mind and challenge the body in order to flow through life's difficulties from a sound mind, strong core, and non-judgmental, compassionate soul.
Yoga supports my need for flexibility, inner peace, perspective shift, and balance.
Yoga is a life altering practice that enhances your overall wellness. Yoga literally means yoke or union, of mind, body, and spirit. The practice of the physical part of yoga, known as asana provides an opportunity to become profoundly body-aware-to understand how your day-to-day activities affect the body, where mental and emotional stress is most manifest, and how to release those tensions from the body while increasing physical strength, dexterity, flexibility, and mobility.
Guiding students through the journey of asana, helping them to let go of accumulated tension in the body, discovering the unknown strength and inspiring a life-long commitment to yoga is blessing and privilege!
