Since COVID I have started working with clients 100% online and I have gotten to meet people from all over. Ryan is an extremely intuitive trainer. I've worked with other trainers in the past who seem to have a one-size-fits-all approach or create workouts that benefit their body needs more than my own. I found Ryan through a referral from a cross-fit gym. I had a lot of imbalances in my hips and lower body due to years of long distance running, and cross-fit exacerbated the problem. I was going to the chiropractor once a week to control the pain I would feel after sitting or driving for long periods. Ryan's approach was simple but incredibly effective. Within months I was vastly improved. After 2 years, I have no residual pain and haven't been to the chropractor in over a year. I still see Ryan once a week. In addition, he provides an app as part of his training package. He uploads workouts specific to my needs that I can access on the app and complete on my own at home or in the gym. He has changed the quality of my life. I am an overall healthier and happier person.

If you're fed up with generic checklists of exercises and you want to work with someone who is smart and observant enough to really pay attention to you as an individual, check out Ryan at A2 FF. As an independent functional fitness practitioner, he is not hampered by the dogma that seems to come with being a physical therapist, a chiropractor, a yoga teacher, etc. His approach is strong, foundational and refreshingly experimental. Try a session with him—it will change the way you move and think of your body.

The trainers at Functional Fitness are really friendly and know a lot about how the body works and moves. I have been training there for about 2 years now and can’t say enough good things. If you want to be more mobile, lift heavier, or simply move in a relaxed atmosphere, then this is your place.

    My first appointment with a client is a basic assessment and interview to find out what the clients goals are and to assess basic posture and gate. The first evaluation is no charge and no commitment is required.
