Michael Jacobs Photo LLC is a small business of New Jersey and that comes with the security of being fully insured, using quality optics and has the experience and knowledge of the seasoned creative photographer trained in these services. I deliver sharp beautiful images that reflect what the client wants. I am also a voice actor so each session is filled with jokes, voices and the comfortable atmosphere of a friendly conversation. Even if you hate getting your picture taken you'll love the sessions you have with me. I love people. I love getting to know their personalities and what makes them unique. You don't just say cheese, smile and take the picture. You allow them to get comfortable with you and allow them to fully come across the images you take of them. Ever since college(go nu huskies!) I have photographed countless friends, clients and loved ones and have always marveled at how expressive and vibrant a person can become if you make them feel comfortable enough in front of a camera. It's amazing.

Mike is one of the most creative and passionate photographers I've ever met, with a great eye for a perfect shot. His personality is fun and we laughed through most of our shoots. If you're looking for a professional (that is the key word) who cares about their craft I would recommend him 100 times over.

Mike is incredibly professional and creative. If you're looking for someone to improve your portfolio, look no further! Shoots are a constant give in take between him and his model, making a wonderful synergy and creative space. For weddings and other events, he notices the small details people put a lot of time into but also captures the candid moments clients didn't know they wanted but are delighted to see. A great guy and an great photographer!

Mike is everything anyone could want in a photographer. He understands proper lighting and will make sure he he gets it. He will adjust blinds, overhead light, lamps or do whatever works to get the right shots. He'll stand on a ladder to get that just right light affect, position or pose that reflects your best features. He has an eye for detail helping to adjust clothing, hair...etc, so that he gets the very best photos of you. In advance to meeting he has a questionnaire that you will e-mail back to him to understand what you would like to show off and what you dont. Mike is excellent at posing you to accentuate or minimize your features. He's a pro at making you look you very best, and so personable with a shining personality you feel like he's an old friend. There's just not enough words to tell you how completely happy I was with my photo shoot!! My session went so well I will tell ALL of my friends & family and I will use no-one but Mike in the future for all my photography needs. Thanks Mike!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a standard pricing for the most common photographic needs. You can find them at my website under "About Me/Investment". I try to work with all budgets but I am a working professional that has this motto; You should never pay more than you have to for the work you want but pay enough feeling comfortable that you are getting quality. I advise all my customers to do their research and see what fits them best. I know this world loves to get deals and I feel that it's important to work within your means. If you work with me you are getting quality images, safety and assurance of a timeless product.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make customers feel more like friends and less like clients. My whole approach is to interpret what someone wants from me photographically. There vision is my passion and I want to create something they are proud of. I'm very easy to keep in touch with and I make sure the "clients" are in the loop with every step of the creative process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been owning and operating my own photography studio in Boston, Massachusetts since 2007. I have extensive training through Mass College of Art and the School of Museum of Fine Arts, both in Boston Massachusetts. I constantly am trying to educate myself on the new practices that come out in photography and have taught small workshops with local photographers and models.
