- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Kathryn graduated from Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in Milwaukee. She has been practicing massage full-time since her graduation in 2010 with a focus on therapeutic massage and deep tissue with a special interest in chronic pain conditions. She is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, a certified CPR instructor through the American Heart Association and an ACE Certified Massage Cupping Practitioner. Kathryn has continued her education with credits in hot stone massage, deep tissue massage, massage cupping, kinesiology taping and many other topics. She has previously held certificates as a personal trainer and nursing assistant. Before pursuing a career as a massage therapist, Kathryn taught high school band and choir, earning her Bachelor of Music from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Motivated by her own experiences with chronic pain, she pursued a career in massage; however, she remains active in the local music community as a singer and flutist. Her other interests include bicycling, hiking, jogging, yoga, reading and home improvement projects.
