This guys are the absolute best. From scheduling to moving, they were professional and amazing. Moving sucks, but these guys made it so much easier. They went all out to help us in any ways they could with our move. Our movers were Vinnie and Dan. I cant speak highly enough about how awesome they were. They were incredibly careful navigating tricky turns with awkwardly shaped heavy furniture without ever hitting the walls. None of our funiture was damaged, no walls or floors were scratched, and everything was carefully placed in the correct destination. They have pride in their work. They sincerely care about their clients experience and their prices are reasonable. I couldnt recommend them more emphatically.

Our mom is just days short of 100yo. We moved her in October with Intelligent Movers. An opportunity came up to move our mom to an apartment that better met her needs. We had less than a week to make it happen, or, she would lose the apartment. At nearly 100, our mom is emotionally fragile & another move would upset her routine. A call to Intelligent to move her again solved our problems. They were sensitive our mom's needs & our timeframe. Intelligent even sent the same team lead; my mom recognized Vinnie & immediately felt reassured that the move would go smoothly. Vinnie & Gene noticed my mom was tense, suggested that she relax in her favorite recliner, & bantered with her during the entire move. They helped 'recreate' her apartment layout so that her routines were not affected & made her feel empowered / independent with all decisions. They even spoke clearly & loudly when talking with our mom. All went well & our mom LOVES her new home. THANK YOU Vinnie, Gene, & the Intelligent Moving team.

I just want to say that Intelligent Labor & Moving made for one of the best moving experiences I've ever had. In the last 33 years, my wife and I have moved 14 times and I've never been so impressed. Eric, Caleb, and Dan arrived a few minutes early which was very much appreciated. They were courteous and extremely respectful of our belongings. Because it was an interstate move, they had to inventory everything which was actually kind of nice, as we were guaranteed nothing would get lost. We have a lot of IKEA furniture and I was very impressed how they packed it so nothing would be damaged. Once we arrived at the new apartment, they did their best to honor my color coded room labeling scheme. I've hired other movers before, but these were hands down the best!!! I plan one more move in my life, and I'll be calling them when the time comes.

A really organized outfit with hardworking, skilled, and pleasant movers! I've moved a dozen times at least and this is the first move in which every single item arrived whole, clean, carefully wrapped, and deposited in the right room. The crew were such experts and so self-directed that I cleaned almost the entire kitchen of the old apartment while they loaded the truck and simply stood at the front door of our new house watching the runs and letting them know where to put things. I was impressed by their attention to detail with our belongings and by how organized they kept the truck. Plus, my husband got to reminisce about the NYC indie music scene with one of the guys. An all-around win! Anyway, I really hope this is our last move in a good long while, but if it isn't, I'll certainly be calling the Intelligent crew again. Thanks guys!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, we charge by the hour for local work according to our tariff. Our rates are also listed in full on our website. For interstate work we provide flat-rates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a lengthy questionnaire so we can get all of the details. Once we've collected the addresses, inventory, and their details Ezekiel the owner of the company reviews them and writes and submits a time & materials estimate for the job. If someone has lived in a place for more than 10 years, needs packing or is crossing a state line, we conduct an on-site survey. Once the customer approves the quote we put them in our schedule, assign them a crew, procure parking permits and send a confirmation by email. Two days before the move we send an additional confirmation and on the day of we show up and do an excellent job!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in software development and computer programming. This has provided me with a mental framework with which to evaluate our service and process which leads to a consistent and thorough approach.
