FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I accept check or cash. Payment schedules can be adjusted according to your preference.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In an initial conversation, I'm ready to listen and collect any information parents want to share about their child's early literacy experiences so far. I'll also ask for examples of previous work, school reports, or testing information that may be relevant, and I'll want to see and hear any early reading skills a student is ready a demonstrate. In some situations, I may administer a standardized reading assessment such as DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) to establish a baseline measure.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A., Clinical/Developmental Psychology, UC Irvine. M.A.+, School Psychology, University of Oregon. At the UO, my official area of emphasis as a School Psychologist was Applied Behavior Analysis, which I enjoyed very much. But it was my work with my advisor, Dr. Roland Good, as well as professors Dr. Kathleen Jungjohann, Dr. Debra Simmons, and Dr. Ed Keemeanui, that lead to a shift in my interest to early literacy instruction.
