- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually like to ask them the goals of the piece; if it is an assignment for a class I will ask for a copy of the prompt. From there I will usually edit the writing in one sitting and then send them a quick write up of what i did. I try to thoroughly explain each comment that I make, but I also respond to any emailed questions within a reasonable amount of time (usually 12 hours or less).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Literature and Sociology degree from a four year liberal arts institution.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out just proofreading papers for a few friends, and then I proofread a book for a family member. At this point I would like to branch out and make this practice available to those outside of my immediate social group.
