FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I just recently moved to North Carolina from New York, and I'm trying to build a clientele in and around the Asheville area so I'll be offering significantly discounted rates for my photography until Labor Day, 2017!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always like to meet with new clients in person if possible! I absolutely insist on an in person meeting if the potential client is inquiring about my services for their wedding or another big event - for important occasions, it's absolutely essential to make sure you have the RIGHT person in charge of capturing your memories, and the client can get a feel about whether or not I'd be that person when we meet. I also prefer to speak on the phone to set up any portrait or headshot sittings - email and text are amazing time-saving conveniences of the modern world, but without hearing the other person's tone while conversing, things can get lost in translation. Thus for first contact with any client, I'd much prefer to hear your voice, and be sure I correctly get any important details before we move forward in our working relationship! Once we're established and are on the same page with pricing, timing, and the client's needs, text or email are fine but in the beginning I like to keep things personal, because I want potential clients to know ME through more than just what I type!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Photography from the esteemed Arts Conservatory at SUNY Purchase College in 2005. I've actually been working exclusively in the photography industry since 2001! That's 16 years of experience in addition to a four year degree in Photography
