Introduction: Building a deck for a customer to enjoy and seeing them smile when they see it for the first time after construction is complete that is what makes job exciting to do. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No there no standard pricing because each project is individual and there for the price of each project varies with the conditions that requires it to be built. I do have a general range of cost but that is more for figuring the cost of materials not the labor and special conditions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically would set down with a customer and spend the time to understand what they are looking for and then come with as many different options that stays within there budget and there wishes. After the details of the project has been finalized I order materials and set a date to start the once the project has been started my customer has all of my attention and I'm focused only on this one project until the it finished. I don't believe you should be running around doing multiple jobs this lead to high rate mistakes and confusion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I work with some old carpet and learned a lot from them but also I do personal research to find different ways to build.
