Introduction: As a graduate of the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, I offer a customized, versatile approach for students of all ages. Every student is unique and therefore, I believe that your lessons with me should be specially tailored to meet your unique learning style and help you reach your goals. I'm well-versed in all styles of music, from classical to jazz, pop and beyond. I also have years of experience as a collegiate instructor. As a full-time professional performing musician, I understand what it takes to achieve success in the music industry. In 2014, I won the International Saxophone Idol Competition, and I've performed at major venues and festivals all over the world. I teach all levels of saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano. I also teach composition, theory, and improvisation. Let me help you unlock your fullest musical potential! I love working with students of all ages and skill levels. Music is my heart and soul. I studied privately with Nick for several years. You will not find a better saxophone player, piano player, or music theory expert (especially regarding jazz improvisation) than him. He greatly helped me in all three of these areas, and I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Nick Biello is a phenomenal teacher who really focuses on what the student needs in order to improve. Beyond being a spectacular player with a warm sound and chops to spare, his approach is very practical and seeks to create lasting change by showing the student how to be his own best teacher. He has been teaching me at Yale for some time now and he has made a tremendous difference! Highly recommended!

I offer competitive rates, and am confident that you won't find a higher quality teacher for the price!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It's important for me to ascertain the specifics goals of a new customer to better customize a lesson plan for them. Every lesson I give is tailor-made for each and every one of my students. My highest priority is to provide my students with an enjoyable, thought-provoking educational experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my Master's Degree in Music from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, where I was awarded a merit scholarship. As a professional educator, I have taught group classes and private lessons at Yale University, Cider Mill Conservatory, Naugatuck Valley Community College, the Westchester Conservatory of Music, and the Drayton Harbor Music Festival in Washington State. In addition, I have many years of experience as a private teacher, and I've taught students all over the world via Skype.
