Victor was quick to respond and come out and demo all the carpet where wood floors were being installed. I paid for the carpet removal and for Victor to come back to finish the job to return to tuck all the carpet up to the wood floors. After multiple attempts to contact him and his commitment to return to finish his work that I already paid for, he would not come finish the job. Dishonest. I would not recommend hiring this contractor.Feb 9, 2018Victor H.'s reply
We’re extremely sorry to hear about your experience with VHCarpet. And trust me I understand how frustrating it can get. It Can at times get very busy the beginning of the year for us and at times can’t schedule out our customers as soon as we’d like. We would be more than happy to come out and assist you if you haven’t already had this resolved on us!! You can contact me directly 6785368809 Victor thanks and god bless!
When I initially hired Victor it was for a carpet install. I would purchase the materials and he would install. He advised me that he could get whatever carpet I wanted at a better price and install at a great price. I fell for it. First he had limited selections, none of them were exactly what I'd wanted. I gave him two swatches of carpet that were my choices and he said, even if it wasn't exact, he would get very, very close. On Sat April 8, Victor sent me pictures of swatches that he had available. None of them were even close to my original picks! I convinced myself it would be ok and made a choice. Then on Monday, April 10th the day of install when I called to see what time he was coming, I was told that the carpet wasn't delivered and they might be able to install the next day. This was unsettling because I had changed my entire schedule to accommodate the Monday install. The next call on the same day, now informed me that the alternate carpet that I had chosen wasn't available until the 20th and I could either make another choice or wait until the 20th. Waiting until the 20th was not an option for me. I had already paid my 75% deposit and felt like I was in a really bad dream. Victor came back with the original swatches that I had turned down and I was basically backed into a corner having to make a decision. Now I keep looking at my floors knowing that I will have to live with this carpet for the next 15 years and trying to convince myself to like it!! The install itself went well, both Victor and his son Victor Jr. are very hard workers and moved lots of items in my home. Unfortunately though, because of the "bait and switch" I can't give a higher grade. I would hire again for an install, but not for purchasing or helping to choose carpet.Apr 19, 2017Verified
