Thank you LxC. This goes to show that there is no such thing as a superior parent or a cookie-cutter parenting plan. The GAL did a fantastic job investigating this situation and recommending primary custody to the parent better suited for the job. In this case, that parent happened to be that Dad. With that information the parties worked together to draft a plan to would best accommodate there specific needs. This case further shows that domestic violence is a real problem in this society and goes both ways. Emotional/verbal abuse is just as, if not more, damaging than physical abuse. Having a understanding of the nuances of the domestic violence divorce certainly helped me help you. Thank you so much for trusting me.
