Lawrence Interior Development
About this pro
Lawrence came by and we paid him 60.00 to remove window frame and board up window while he goes with frame to get it fixed. That was 3 weeks ago. He said they lost the frame, and yet he has not taken it upon himself to replace it. We just hired another Thumbtack Professional, so we will see how it goes. He was the first one I had spoken to and wished I would have used him. lol Lawrence keep the 60$ I've spent that in time calling you going back and forth trying to find out why you had not replaced window. Not practicing good business.Aug 15, 2018Verified
Willie and his crew were great. They came and did half the work the same day. We really appreciate his hard work and finishing the project on time. He did some tile work for us and finished the closet. We will definitely consider him for our other projects. Thank you for driving all the way to Marietta and doing quality work. It's hard finding an honest hard working contractor and we are more then happy on choosing himFeb 27, 2018Verified
Extremely professional and knowledgeable. He gave me more than one option to repair my roof and siding, based on my budget. I'll be honest, I am on a budget so I chose the cheaper option. However, I have to admit the finished project looked as though I chose the most expensive option. After seeing his completed work I have decided to hire him for other home repairs. Overall, I have to give him the highest rating and suggest others take advantage of his honest quality service.Nov 4, 2016Verified
We hired Lawrence Handyman Service for several tasks. Unfortunately, Mr. Lawrence misrepresented his ability to complete our project up to a professional level. We asked him to complete tiling in the kitchen, and as you can see in the pictures below, the resulting work was a mess. The tiles were crooked, cut incorrectly, and spaced inappropriately, despite being in pre-spaced sheets. The work site was also left a mess, and the grout and debris on our cabinets, windows, and paintwork damaged our kitchen. We were forced to have the work redone by a separate contractor, through a big-name home repair store. They charged us the same rate at Lawrence Handyman Service, and did a professional job. Unfortunately, we had to pay for the removal of the backsplash and reapplication of the tile for a second time. Mr. Lawrence refused to refund any of our money, despite our follow-up for three months. We cannot recommend this handyman. The contractors who came in to fix his work were appalled. As a family with three young children, we did our best to save for our home project, and were very disappointed that we had to pay for it twice due to Mr. Lawrence's shoddiness and unprofessional application.Sep 25, 2017Willie L.'s reply
The picture sent to me was not of the work i performed. I also agreed to finish the work but recieved no response to review and satisfy this client. There was other work involved; which is why a refund was not an option. This was a pure lack of communication on the customer's behalf and if given the opportunity I would have successfully corrected this job as I have all others.
We hired Willie after being scammed by another contractor who pretended like he was going to do the work, took a deposit of half of the project cost (over $3000) and then ran off with our money! That was a hard pill to swallow and it made it difficult to trust contractors. Then came Willie. Willie had the cards stacked against him, because we were very particular with what we wanted and very cautious and guarded, due to the previous situation. Willie handled this professionally and graciously. He understood the circumstances, listened to what we wanted, honored all of our wishes and delivered a wonderful room addition. This was a major project that took over 7 weeks to complete and Willie showed up faithfully ready to work. Whenever we had any issues with how something turned out, Willie was right there in agreeance eager to fix it. Be sure to be very clear up front on what you are expecting out of the project and gain agreement on your expectations. Willie is a perfectionist and gives care to each project he does. He's also just a kind hearted, nice man to be around. I'm going to miss the sound of his tools and gospel music out on my patio, but I'm sure I'll find other work to keep Willie busy around here. Before and after pictures posted. Room still needs to be cleaned.Mar 19, 2017Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? It all depends on job, some are hourly rates like flooring and general contracting, some are based on customer needs. I prefer to go over the details of the project to ensure that customers are getting the best and most accurate price. Having said that, don't hesitate to respond to me so that we can talk more about it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I love to speak with the customer about the job, make sure we are clear on what needs to be done and also offer recommendations if needed. We will write up contracts for each client and their project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been completing handyman projects for over 25 years. I love that I am able to master my skill and learn more with every job that I finish.
