FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first step with any client is always investing an interest and comprehensive understanding of their vision and expectations. This is my goal, first and foremost-- to successfully tell the story the client wishes to tell. From there, we'll tailor that vision, and then discuss the technical facets regarding everything from prices to props, to location and making sure anyone on set is totally at ease in front of the lens!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking portraits professionally for roughly five years now and have worked with/been published in various freelance projects and publications.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What props will I need to bring to the set? What kind of lighting/color scheme am I going for? I always recommend my client creates an Inspiration Board on Pinterest, or researches a few photos on Google (or another site/engine) several days before the shoot, in order to better communicate whatever lighting, pose, or overall conceptual/stylistic look they're going for.
