FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on your needs, I offer flat rate packages or per hour pricing. This will be discussed at the Free Initial Consultation.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Free Initial Consultation Carrith Law LLC offers a Free Initial Consultation. The Free Initial Consultation may be in person or on the phone and tends to last 15 to 30 minutes. This allows me to gather information about your unique estate planning needs and provide you with a fee quote based on this information. I typically require a down payment of roughly 1/3 of the estimated total cost. This payment is due prior to the Estate Planning Meeting. If you choose to continue with our services, we will schedule your in-person Estate Planning Meeting at this time. I strive to be transparent and to communicate openly and honestly at all times. There are no hidden fees. Our rates will be agreed upon ahead of time in our written fee agreement. Estate Planning Questionnaire Prior to your Estate Planning Meeting, you should fill out the appropriate Estate Planning Questionnaire as thoroughly as possible. You can find the Estate Planning Questionnaires on my website or I can email or mail it to you. Don’t worry if there is information you are not sure of because we will cover everything on the questionnaire in detail at the Estate Planning Meeting. Estate Planning Meeting This meeting tends to last from one to two hours, depending on your unique situation. Remember to bring your completed Estate Planning Questionnaire with you to this meeting or email it to me ahead of time. During this meeting, we will discuss your estate planning goals and concerns. We will review your Estate Planning Questionnaire with you and answer all your questions. I understand that estate planning can be a sensitive topic. I strive to come to the table with compassion and an open mind to make this process comfortable, efficient, and effective for you, our clients. My job is to listen to you and provide professional legal advice that aligns with your wants and needs. At the end of this meeting, we schedule an appointment two weeks out for you to sign your Estate Planning Documents. Document Signing Prior to the Document Signing, I will mail or email a draft of your estate planning documents to you for your review. Please read through the documents thoroughly. Feel free to mark up a hard copy and email or mail it back to me. If you have any questions about anything contained in the documents, please call or email me so I can make changes prior to the document signing date. At the document signing, we will review the documents once more together prior to signing the documents. I am also a notary public and can notarize the final Estate Planning Documents. Follow Up I will occasionally send you changes in the law and reminders to update your Estate Planning Documents. You are encouraged to review them every couple of years. Please contact me if you need to update the documents due to changes in your finances, real estate, family, or intentions.
