FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I estimate each project based off an hourly rate, but there is always room to work within your budget to make the project happen. I ask for 50% of the project up front, then will send an invoice for the remaining 50% upon completion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a call or meeting to discuss the project, then I'll take all the details into account to craft the project estimate and agreement. You'll see all the tasks line-by-line, as well as the project's total cost. After the agreement is signed and first payment is sent, I'll deliver a project timeline and start designing! This is where the true collaboration comes in and we get to work back and forth through rounds of revisions. Once the project is finished and approved I'll deliver all the packaged design files in a Dropbox folder, or a final website how-to guide, for your future use. My goal is to make this process as painless as possible for you. When we're finished with the project you will have everything you need to move forward. You've got enough going on in your life – creative should not be one of them!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art with a Concentration in Graphic Design from Spring Arbor University and have spent 8 years as a graphic designer in several agencies before becoming a full-time freelancer.
