After having rented out my place for an year, I found the place to be in complete disarray when the tenants vacated. With almost all of the cabinets completely spoiled and the interior paint completely destroyed with some crayon and permanent marker murals drawn in every room. The plumbing right through the house needed a complete make over too. Having this huge task of remodeling and painting the interiors, I procrastinated for a month or so but finally I was introduced to Jamal and when I showed around the place to find out about the estimates, I was presently surprised by the quoted price and the estimated date of completion. The price quoted was well within my planned budget and the duration for the remodeling of the cabinets and the painting was way less than what I had earlier anticipated. I was blown away by Jamal's promptness in finishing off the job and also was really grateful for not making me spend extra for any raw materials purchased. Having saved some bucks on the primary work and having the work done before the estimated time, I went ahead and got my Garage flooring done too with epoxy. All in all friendly service, prompt on delivering the tasks and lastly 100% worth the money paid for the services rendered. Highly recommended for any and all interior remodeling, paint jobs and garage flooring.

Having bought a bed frame and 8 drawer chest for the guest bedroom, I failed miserably in assembling them both. Taking advise from my neighbor who recently had their 55" Samsung HDTV wall mounted by Jamal, when I did get in touch with him he was at my place the same evening I inquired. The price quoted by him were very nominal and he was very much careful while disassembling the bed frame that I faultily assembled. Though he was in no rush, he was able to finish of the job in no time and didn't charge a penny for the disassembly. Very much satisfied with the work Jamal did for me and would be calling him back for having my TV moved from the stand to have it wall mounted pretty soon. Recommend, for anyone looking for handyman for their homes in and around bay area.

I wanted to see if I could have someone build 1 file cabinet and 2 shoe cabinets we purchased from IKEA the very same day. I also wanted to give my husband a break from doing so much at home, especially after working all day. I discovered Jamal of J's Furniture Assembly on Thumbtack since he was the first one to respond with his quote. He was available the same morning, arrived quickly, was professional, and completed all 3 cabinets without any interruption. He also mentioned to me that he does general handyman work and remodels. I remembered that we had purchased a new faucet from Costco and wanted our kitchen faucet replaced and Jamal did that as well! Jamal was awesome and I would hire him again for any future building needs.
