INJURY CASES:
We are able to offer a reduced fee of 5% off of the traditional fee for the injury claim, with no money upfront, we cover expenses and do not ask for payment unless and until we get money for you. That is 28% pre-suit and 35% through trial at time of filing, if suit needs to be filed (standard rates are 33% and 40%).
We also go above and beyond by helping you recover property damage at no cost to you as a service that is complimentary to the injury representation of your claim.
Attorney representation is important to help the clients to preserve the necessary evidence and treatment history to best support the damages and injuries. We have a lot of experience dealing with collision experts, doctor experts and wage experts. Experts can be used to maximize damages by providing reports and an educated explanation to the jury about the cost and why it is necessary to be awarded. We also work with medical providers by offering Letters of Protection that puts a hold of payment of medical expenses until the time that the case is resolved.
If you don't choose our firm, I urge you to make sure the firm that you choose, is a firm that is known to take cases to trial. There are a lot of firms that will take cases, just to see if a good offer is made, and if there isn't, they drop the case. Furthermore, the insurance companies know who these firms are, and likewise, they either deny liability or make smaller offers to them.
FAMILY AND DIVORCE CASES
What our firm does differently, is that we advise clients of their options and can give estimates of the cost of each route. Also, we encourage clients to make decisions that are the wisest for their situation and future. This method is still performed aggressively and our firm is well-familiar, and gifted, with trying cases, if need be. In fact, our firm has more experience in court than most family attorneys given our personal injury experience in handling countless jury trials.
I caution you to make sure that you are choosing a firm that isn't out to spend-down the marital estate so nothing is left for division. Unfortunately, some firms will perform unnecessary work to burn through retainer funds or exhaust marital assets, and then they will withdraw off of the case, even if it isn't completed.
UNCONTESTED DIVORCES
We do uncontested divorce decrees for a flat rate of $4,000-$4,500, plus expenses, such as filing fees, as long as it remains uncontested.
Some firms may charge a lower initial fee, but tend to ask for more money half-way through the process to deal with any requested changes. Many times the parties request several changes to the form even though it represents what they held out as their agreement, so be on the look-out during your search for representation. As long as the parties are just requesting changes to the draft, we will include those conversations and drafting time as part of the flat rate. Furthermore, there are additional documents necessary in some cases to effectuate the decree if either: 1. a QDRO is necessary to divide property or, 2. both parties were on loans and deeds/titles, which are included with the higher quote. Typically speaking, on an uncontested quote, these items will not be included.
