About this pro
“We began visiting with Mike and Carol shortly after we moved from New York to Austin with our four children. The move, new job and unfamiliar culture began to affect our marriage. After 24 years, we began to miss opportunities to appropriately recognize and engage one another’s deepest needs. Mike and Carol are skilled in helping couples recognize their own and their spouses intimacy needs, recognize strengths and weaknesses in their personality, and identify how to strengthen both in the context of relationship, the most important relationships being with God and then spouse. We highly recommend Mike and Carol Watson to all who want to strengthen these relationships.” (Brian & Tamara)Sep 8, 2016
We have been blessed by our friendship with the Watsons, as well as their ministry. Mike and Carol have provided us support, advice and guidance. They live a great example of a loving and committed marriage. Ten years into our marriage, we still try and apply what we’ve seen from them in our own relationship- encouragement, grace, prayer for your partner and a sense of humor!Aug 30, 2016
Mike and Carol have been alongside us for many years in our relationship before we were married, and while we were preparing for marriage. They are great listeners, supportive, non-judgmental, and lots of fun! The practical advice they’ve given us has helped our communication and understanding of one another.Aug 30, 2016
Mike and Carol are amazing. Filled with wisdom and empathy, they counseled my wife (former girlfriend / fiancée 🙂 ) and me as we discerned what marriage should look like for us. They helped me form a framework for beginning to understand relational needs and that has been tremendously helpful in our relationship.Aug 30, 2016
The Watsons were the ideal marriage counselors for us, and the counseling we received went beyond our expectations. Not only are they compassionate listeners and full of wisdom, they also model in their own relationship the love, sacrifice, and spiritual devotion that they encourage couples to cultivate. Their approach focuses on identifying needs and tendencies in each person, and helping the couple better respond to them. They helped give us a language to communicate where we were both satisfying and missing those desires while always keeping love and respect at the forefront of our communication. The Christian framework they work within provides a rich reservoir of caring and forgiveness which was also blended with the best insights from modern psychology; a mix that is hard to beat. We continue to benefit from the Watson’s counseling in our everyday life, which is a testament to their influence and sincere warmth. (C&S)Sep 1, 2016
