In most cases, it takes me about 5 seconds to know the skill level of a therapist. We are looking for the type of client that has either has gone to see every specialist out there or the client that tired of the nonsense of just dealing with western medicine and is ready to walk the path of wellness. Let's combine both eastern and western to allow your body to walk the walk and talk the talk. The therapy we do is not for one time session. Miracles...we do not. We are looking for folks that are ready for a set of sessions. We educate, demonstrate, and even provide options for what you can try to do for yourself in the comfort of their own home or work place. Therefore, your next session will be more profound and more rewarding. Sounds strange? Not so much if you understand that your body will react better if you learn to treat it right. We want to share with you and to experience the beauty and the wonder of what our body can do for us. The gratification one gets after helping someone out, especially when they have tried everything else. I recall the first time I felt this feeling. I was finishing up my first license, in massage therapy. I was just a student and we had just covered Shiatsu in school. I visited a girlfriend of mine who had an old aunt with a condition in her leg that would wake her up every morning at 3am and only allowed her to sleep for 4-5 hours per night for the last 3 years. I worked on her for less than 30 minutes with the little Shiatsu I was taught. To her surprise, she awakes at 10am the following morning after sleeping for 11 hours straight. The feeling I felt at that moment, of making a difference for her in her life, was uncomparable to anything I've felt before. In addition, I came to the realization of the following question, that if massage therapy that is so basic can do something like this, what can other more advanced techniques do for us? I don't just talk a good game. I've learned so much from standing on the shoulders of giants while having my own personal experiences too. Yes, I'm not only a therapist, I'm a client too. ^.^
