So it was great that they showed up for appointment to get more information. Now they want to have another meeting to provide me the quote in person, for which I do not have time for in my work schedule, avoid these guys because they are time wasters in my opinion. Updated with my response: Wow, do you even understand that I have limited time in my schedule. I had high hopes for your team since you were able to show up on time for the first meeting where others would not. As for not valuing your time, I think you should think about valuing mine. I was very clear with Jason that I had limited time and needed a price to move forward and not a bunch of time wasting. Clearly you are not in touch with how busy a customers schedule may be and I hope and pray that you understand that good people like myself just wanted to give you the business that all you had to do is let me know what it was going to cost. I did not ask you to prepare anything other than a quote for me at this time, and again I made it clear to Jason that I was in a hurry. Please feel free not to shame others like you have tried to do with me when you have not even understood the circumstances of my schedule. I am disappointed that you could not accept the feedback like an adult.Dec 1, 2018Verified

Craig is great to deal with. He is extremely professional and very courteous and shows great attention to detail. He arrived on time and completed the project when and as he said he would. I would hire him again without a doubt.Jun 23, 2017Verified
We purchased investment property in Driftwood. The building was in rough shape. Most of the contractors we spoke with recommended demolishing the existing building and starting over. Craig created a design that turned the dilapidated structure into a beautiful space. He did much of the work himself and managed his workers from beginning to end. We love our new space and would recommend Craig and ATX Design Build to anyone wanting an experienced, knowledgeable and reliable builder.Jul 11, 2017
Both interior and exterior work were way above the current "state of the art" locally. It was good to see quality work done by qualified competent personnel. Highly recommended!!!!Jun 17, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is generally a subjective thing in our industry but most projects fall into typical pricing bands: Hall baths $8,000.00 - $16,000.00 Master Baths $12,000.00 - $40,000.00 Kitchens $20,000.00 - $75,000.00 Room Additions $50,000.00 - $150,000.00
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?ATX Design Build is likely the most customer friendly remodeling company in Austin. The typical process follows the following simple path: 1. Call for first visit - You will receive a helpful phone call from Craig Walker to gather some general information about your project. At that time an appointment is set for an in-home visit. 2. The initial visit is for measuring the project for a free design drawing from which the project will ultimately be built. This visit also helps in refining a comprehensive budget number for your project. 3. On more complex projects a second visit is scheduled to deliver drawings and a final budget number for your project. 4. Once an agreement has been reached, one of our certified interior designers will call to set a time to meet with you to create your color and style palette. 5. Once your colors and style design is reached, we order any materials fabricated outside of ATX artisan's creativity. (Cabinets, vanities, tile, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, etc.) 6. Once the materials are received in our warehouse, we schedule our skilled artisans to begin your project. 7. Our artisans and licensed tradesmen build your project. 8. Once complete, Craig Walker will tour the final product with you to ensure your satisfaction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Craig Walker has been a hands-on builder for 38 years. He is an artisan, not just a business owner or salesman. He is skilled in Auto-CAD design.
