I hired Katie to redesign one room in my home. I was promised a detailed, executable plan and that was not what was delivered. Additionally, I was clear regarding budget and scope of work. While agreeing to a budget during their visit, they then provided a much higher quote following the meeting. After expressing my disappointment, I was basically told "tough luck," with no effort to correct the situation. Very poor experience and I will not be recommending to colleagues and friends.

In response to the previous review, I’m choosing to leave Thumbtack. After realizing that a person can go on here and misconstrue a situation and several conversations and then print lies. I’ve decided I do not want to subject my business name and 4 years experience of high standards of customer satisfaction to a place where a person can practice slander. I believe that if I were to stay on this website the positive reviews would outweigh any negative, but again, for 4 years referrals from happy customers have been my thriving business. I’ve realized, that is enough for me. Personal relationships,outside of a social media type website, are more important to the way I operate my small business. For the record, “tough luck” is never a phrase I used nor would ever use when dealing with a client or any person. Also, for the record, a FULL refund was issued to this client after she refused it in our conversation and the refund was issued prior to her Thumbtack review. I look forward to working with many more happy clients to help them achieve their decorating and staging needs.
