Mike has a nice approach to estate planning. He sent me a detailed questionnaire that I filled out before we talked about any details. This let me take my time and think about things on my own first and consider some things I had not thought of. He’s personable, knowledgeable and doesn’t judge but does suggest options and has good ideas. His hours are very flexible if you need them to be, although most of my estate plan was easily handled in email or on the phone. Rates were very reasonable when compared to what other attorneys quote for the same work. All in all a very good experience and an important “to do” item that I had been putting off is done.Mar 18, 2019Verified

Legal Document Preparation
Working with Michael was like a breeze. I wanted him to review our existing service agreement from legal point of view and add new clauses. He did great work. Am going to use him in future too. Highly recommend.Jan 11, 2019Verified
It was a pleasure working with Michael. I am just starting out my business, and needed clarification as well as assistance filling in all the missing pieces on my contract. There were so many things I didn't even think about that Michael helped include in my contract. He is extremely professional, responsive, and knows the business. I will definitely recommend Michael to anyone in need of a contract lawyer going forward.Aug 13, 2018Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Pricing is very dependent on your particular issue. The rates that I state here are for guidance purposes only. Once we are able to meet for a no-cost / no-obligation 30 minute consultation, if we agree that it makes sense to move forward, I will quote a price for the services that we agree on.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?New clients are invited to meet with me for a no-cost / no-obligation 30 minute consultation. Here we will discuss your legal matter and what your desired outcome is. This meeting can be in-person or by telephone, whichever is most convenient for you. From that meeting, if we decide to move forward, we will agree on next steps and the fees that will be charged for legal services.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I hold a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a Master's Degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. These degrees are in computer science. I received my Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. I also hold a certificate in family and divorce mediation. I have extensive corporate experience working with both internal and external clients in negotiation, deal making and dispute management. Here I have gained the invaluable skill of understanding the importance of listening and understanding the needs of all parties involved before determining the best final solution to a particular problem.
