Introduction: I do research on musical learning, and also have usually about 5 or 6 students who come to my home to study piano, or singing or other instruments with me. I focus on learning to play or sing expressively and to enjoy making music from the very first lesson. We will begin as soon as possible with starting to learn to read music, and then improve your fluency at reading music with a method I have developed. Making music becomes much more fun and interesting if you learn to read as you learn to play. We start at whatever level you have reached, even complete beginner, and you usually play and explore several pieces even at the first lesson, then continue exploring between lessons. I work with students of all ages. Students who like my non-standard approach love it, and progress rapidly. I love to make music, and love to help my students learn to enjoy making music. I met my wife as we sang together. Learning to make music not only opens up marvelous experience but also can enrich your life in many other ways.
