FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been in the flooring industry for over 2 decades, not only doing the physical craftsmanship, but in various capacities. One of our owners has worked as a general manager for a nationwide flooring services provider as well as an assistant store manager for a major home improvement retailer, in addition to 15 years in flooring refinishing and installation. Our other company owner worked as a flooring installations manager for a major home improvement retailer as well. This experience ensures that we at Quality Craft West value our customers and have worked with many customer issues, and we have vast knowledge on how to foresee issues and how to rectify them should they occur. We want you to love your floors for a lifetime.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
It is important for customers to know why price points can vary so greatly. There are many factors that can go into a companies pricing, including dust containment systems and type of polyurethanes. A flooring person using cheap oil based finish can charge much less than a flooring person using water based, low VOC, professional finishes.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Customers should inquire about products used, for example, we use a top grade, low VOC polyurethane, not inexpensive and unhealthy products. They should understand that the cheapest option may just be the cheapest for a reason. Floors are different than paint. They are being used every day, and wear and tear matters. Sometimes going with the less expensive option means having to redo sooner than you should.
