Elise is a very highly regarded professional trainer who has phenomenal knowledge and experience with dog behavior and handling. I was referred to Elise by another dog trainer because of my exuberant little Jack Russell with impulse control issues. She is a sweet dog, but she was hard to train and hard to live with. Over the course of three working sessions and a couple of clinics, I learned a lot about dog behavior and handling and received a lot of encouragement from Elise about my dog's potential. My friends and I are constantly amazed by the progress I have made with my Jack Russell, and I'm now working with Elise to prepare my dog for her first obedience trials, to improve my technique and my dog's focus. I really wish I had known Elise when I was training my Brittany, and I look forward to continuing to work with her with my current and future dogs.

Elise is absolutely amazing with dogs. I've taken dogs to less expensive trainers before but they didn't have her level of expertise and she takes a whole-dog whole family approach so that her work with you is totally personalized. She gets a ton of information to look at the situation from every angle. My formerly insane terrier is now an amazing family pet. I would recommend Elise to anyone!

Elise is the most helpful and knowledgable dog trainer I've ever met. She helped me with a problem dog and more recently helped with the transition to puppy life.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The standard rate to work with me is $104/hour and assistant trainers are $78/hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with an in-home consultation which is two hours long. We go through everything relevant to the pet, review goals, and lay out a customized plan for the client to reach their goals. The client receives a packet of information plus video links, handouts, and a month of follow-up support.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified through the two leading organizations in the country - the IAABC and APDT. I am certified as a trainer and behavior consultant for cats & dogs. I am also a certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator for the American Kennel Club. I have been licensed for the Dogs & Storks evaluator program in the past. The assistant trainers are working towards their certification.
