- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge an hourly rate for lessons and training. Lessons are $50 for a private hour lesson and includes learning all about the equipment we use, care of the horse as well as riding. $40 on your own horse. Training fee for full training is $400 a month, for single rides I charge $40 Themed Pony Parties are $30 per child with an 8 child minimum. They include snacks, cake, and drinks, party favors, games, pony decorating and hand led pony rides.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask questions about their level of experience, concerns, and interests. From there I determine how to proceed with their instruction. I start most new students on a lounge line to evaluate their level and help them adjust to my horses, or to see how they interact with their horse.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to Salem College with a major in Horsemanship Breeding and Management. I have trained horses since I was 16 and have been teaching since 2008. I have trained under the teachings of champion riders in Western Pleasure, Barrel Racing, Reining, Jumping and Dressage.
