We engaged Vlad to renovate our kitchen in early 2020. Our job required we #1 replace the house's original island with more contemporary and sleek cabinetry - integrating a new gas cooktop and removing the existing sink. #2 top off the island and 2 separate counter sections with custom fabricated quartz slabs. and #3 install tile backsplashes, sink, faucets, cooktop and downdraft required in the design. The craftsmanship Vlad and team delivered in every aspect of the remodel was exceptional. His team was timely and reliable. The finished product is beautiful and elegant. Highly recommended for his ability to organize and complete work with the high level of quality. Overall end to end experience was as good as it gets since Vlad was super mindful and respectful of the best ways to minimize disruption to our lives by loss of kitchen facilities. Pricing and accounting of materials purchases along the way were totally transparent and beyond reasonable. Great job. Thanks Vlad and team!

Vlad and Daniel and their crews did a phenomenal job on transforming our kitchen. Vlad suggested us on great ideas while Daniel made sure they were doable with our budget. Despite the rush of the holidays and the limitations due to the inclement weather (we had snow storm for over a week), they managed to keep their words and got us the beautiful kitchen for Christmas. Design Kitchen and Bath is the best remodel/contracting company I've ever worked with. Vlad is a quality tradesman and excellent communicator. My wife and I decided to remodel our daylight basement 3/4 bath to a full bath with Japanese deep soaking tub and wet-room by taking over space from a rarely used adjacent sauna in our mid-century home. After meeting with several contractors and receiving more than six quotes through Thumbtack and BBB we hired DK&B. Our decision to move forward with DK&B was because Vlad was excited about our vision, explained what and how the project would unfold, and importantly he showed us that he recognized that this was our home, our time and money, and he expected nothing less than to make us happy and completely satisfied with our new bathroom. Vlad communicated all aspects of the job thoroughly to my wife and me; each day we were updated on what happened, and what was coming up, we were always in the loop and on the same page. Issues that needed input from drain and plumbing runs, electrical updates (rather than reuse what was there from a previous handyman special, to make it better and make it right), preferences on tile layout, trim details, and where to mount fixtures were always brought to our attention. DK&B always put our perspective as the homeowners at the forefront of the process from the very beginning through to the very end. When I had questions or change requests and concerns, Vlad listened to my wants and my whys and if he disagreed he listed his reasons. We always came to agreements, and I know our decisions made together made the bathroom better. Vlad never made me feel that I was wasting his time or ever made me feel guilty for being involved in my own home improvement. He encouraged our feedback and made my wife and me feel that we were equal partners in the build. I've done some remodel work myself (in fact I gutted and tiled this same shower four years earlier) but with two small kids I didn't have the time or the perfected tiling skills for that matter to make this the dream bathroom that we wanted. As I saw the work progress from demo to finish, everything was done to code, and with planning and attention to detail both within the walls and out, that the finished product is immaculate and I trust will last a lifetime. Vlad and his team are upbeat and happy - every day I could see the enthusiasm and satisfaction in a job well done - DK&B does NOT cut corners - and I could see and hear the excitement from the first meeting with Vlad about the vision to the final reality of having our dream bathroom. While any remodel project is a disruption, it was nonetheless a pleasure to have DK&B in our home. I will certainly hire DK&B again when the need arises, and I recommend them without hesitation. Thank you Vlad and Design Kitchen and Bath!
