Our founder, Matt Carmody, has over five years of experience in the moving industry. Within those five years he has developed a belief of how a moving company should be run. He believes moving companies should strive to promote an atmosphere where clients feel assured their belongings are in safe hands. We hired them for local moving within the city. We had a lot of heavy stuff and the walk from the apartment to the docking area was fairly long. The team was really efficienct and got us moved as quickly as possible. They were extremely professional and careful with our belongings, and overall had a great attitude. Highly recommend.

Matt was responsive and reliable, which eased my stress about moving. The MJC Moving team disassembled furniture, loaded my items, unloaded and reassembled everything in 3 hours — at a reasonable rate and on a rare sweltering day in SF. I don't plan on moving again for a while, but will certainly rehire MJC Moving when I do.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. My pricing system is a per person per hour charge. Additionally, there is a $30 fuel charge per project. If you have questions in regards to my pricing system, or would like a quote for your specific project please contact me via telephone or e-mail.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with the bidding process. Accompanying the bid will be a brief description of my pricing system, as well as my contact information for a new customer to contact me with questions/concerns. I like to work directly with clients to determine the best pricing and logistics specific to their moving needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have five years of project management experience for two separate moving companies. I have completed moves from studio apartments to multiple bedroom residences. Furthermore, I have experience with long distance moves along the entire east coast.
