Working with this trainer was going very well. I learned new things about nutrition, new exercises, lost 10 lbs in less than 2 months, & had an increase in energy. I found her attitude to be very positive & supportive. Overall I greatly enjoyed working with her. There were some issues. … -From the beginning I said I wanted a trainer who would network with me via Strava, Garmin, Fitbit, or other such tracker app to encourage improvements in hiking, biking, & jogging. But despite numerous reminders she never followed through. This was a key point of what I needed & if this was something she wasn’t willing to do I wish she could have told me & I would’ve hired somebody else. -The details of the diet plan were told to me verbally during work outs with following ups via text messages. I feel I never received a complete program in one place I could refer to. I texted her my Email address so she could send stuff to my inbox & never received any emails. Scrolling through texts messages and trying to recall what was told to me while I was working caused some confusion & difficulty. -Scheduling was somewhat of an issue. I’ve got a flexible work schedule so this was somewhat of a minor problem but for the purposes of jumpstarting an exercising plan it was difficult to have appointments which were sometimes in the mornings, sometimes afternoon and often delayed or rescheduled. Again overall I was satisfied with my work with this trainer, was expecting to have a long term professional relationship with her & I was confident that these issues would have been worked out. We discussed a plan in which we would meet twice a week for 3-4 months, once a week for 3-4 months, and every other week indefinitely. I explained that long term every other week coaching was all I could afford & during what I referred to as the jumpstart period extra session money was coming from my savings. She agreed that this was an excellent way to get back on to & maintain the path to good health. So again at this point I was feeling good about our progress, our long term plan, & that any & all issues would be ironed out. Then she completely flaked on me. We tentatively scheduled to have at least one session between 12/18&12/22. I checked in on the 17th & again 18th. And was told she was taking time off & going out town for Christmas. Totally cool, but I wish I’d known. I told her to just let me know when she was back in town. She sent me a really great document via text message on some wonderful diet suggestions which I greatly appreciated. But that was the last time I heard from her. Christmas & New Years came and went and no word. I left a text & made a phone call which went straight to voicemail, still heard nothing. I held back writing a review wondering if something was wrong but it’s now been a while since I’ve had any communication. I also prepaid for a block of 12 sessions to save 10% & there are a few sessions which I paid for but never received. So it saddens me to write a negative review when I was feeling so good about working with this person but I at this point I am also very upset & feel it is more than warranted.Jan 7, 2018Verified
