Introduction: I've been teaching piano in Connecticut for the past 20 years. I hold an MA in Piano Performance/Pedagogy from the Hartt School. I have a true passion for teaching piano, and really enjoy working with students of all ages. I have students aged 5 to 60+, and I make sure I'm engaged with each of them at their appropriate level of ability and education. My studio in Berlin, CT is professional, open and friendly, and I work diligently to keep it that way as I believe music education should be joyous as well as disciplined. Interacting with and teaching students, seeing them grow and mature in their abilities and appreciation of music is one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. Being able to see young students flower into adulthood and take the gift and passion for music along with them is always inspiring. And it's such a joy to see the glow of my older, adult students learning to play for the first time or getting reaquainted with the piano, as if with an old friend.

Concetta taught both of my daughters piano from early ages right through high school. Both continued piano instruction in university settings, one as part of her music education curriculum, the other just for the love of piano and music. Concetta has a quiet, patient and respectful demeanor with children. She is a very talented pianist herself and is able to read the student's personality and interests and keep them motivated. My years of association with Concetta through my daughters' lessons motivated me to want to learn to play and I am beginning my third year with her as an adult student. I am experiencing the same patience, respect and teaching excellence that kept my daughters motivated for so many years. She conveys support and a "can do" attitude to her students.

Concetta was my teacher for 10 years. She lead me from beginning piano and music reading all the way through college auditions for music school. I am now a music teacher in a public school, and teach piano lessons after school. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Single student lesson pricing: $27.50 for 30 minute lessons $35.00 for 45 minute lessons $45.00 for 60 minute lessons Two student lesson pricing (same family): $50 for two students (30 minute lessons for each student) $60 for two students (45 minute lessons for each student) $80 for two students (60 minute lessons for each student) Families with more than two students enrolled for lessons - please inquire.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start every new student off with a free trial lesson to make sure we are compatible. During the trial lesson I evaluate the student's current level of ability, their interests and to speak with their parents about my teaching methods and philosophy.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold an MA in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from The Hartt School of Music in West Hartford. I also hold a BFA in Piano Performance from the University of South Dakota. I've been actively teaching piano for the past 19 years, and for 24 years overall.
