Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I have been working as a professional freelance photographer since 2010, with assignments all over the world. I enjoy photographing people with a passion in capturing natural moments. About me. I learnt traditional wet black and white film photography whilst studying Fine Art and Photography at Colchester Sixth Form College in the UK. After completing my studies I spent a year living in Uganda, working for different charities and organisations. I then returned to the UK to study photography at the University of Portsmouth. I continued with my love of traditional photography techniques by converting the shed in the garden into a darkroom. During the course I had his work shown in a number of different exhibitions, most noticeable being a show titled Wide Eyes in Brick Lane, London. The course resulted in gaining a BA (hons) Photography degree. After graduating I once again returned to Uganda where I started working as a freelance documentary photographer. I have worked for numerous organisations throughout Africa and further afield. In 2013 I was shortlisted for the Environmental Photographer of the Year award for my work with the African Climate Change Resilience Alliance, and had my work exhibited at the Royal Geographic Society in London. I have recently moved to the United States to be with my wife who is working as doctor in Pennsylvania. Some of the organisations I have worked with in the past are: USAID, American Cancer Society, The Mastercard Foundation, Oxfam, The Red Cross, DanChurchAid, International School of Uganda, ActionAid and many more.

Tom photographed our wedding (which was in a safari park) and he was an absolute dream to work with. His work is exceptional, and he made every step of the process super easy. Before the wedding I was nervous about how camera-shy I am, but Tom made me and my husband feel completely comfortable, and we've since received countless compliments on our wedding photos (and requests to get in touch with Tom!). He was full of great ideas for pictures, and made sure to get every meaningful moment documented beautifully. He also got along with our families and all the guests really well, and knew exactly how to wrangle a crowd for family pictures. I seriously couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I can't recommend him highly enough.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I will try an work within your budget. There are no hidden fees and you retain all rights to your photographs and get the edited files via an online download. This means you get to use them and share them how ever you like.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been learning photography since I was 13 years old. Originally with black and white film photography, developing prints by hand in my own darkroom. I then progressed into digital photography through out my career, but I am glad that I learned the traditional side first and have a strong foundation in the basics. I have A Levels in Photography and Fine Art from Colchester Sixth Form College in the UK. I also have a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Photography from The University of Portsmouth in the UK. Since then I have spent many years working as a full-time professional photographer in Africa and am learning every time I pick up a camera and take on a new assignment.
