Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Recently retired, licensed, highly experienced teacher specializing in MATH, LANGUAGE ARTS, HOMEWORK, ORGANIZATION AND SPECIAL EDUCATION. I taught basic math, pre-algebra, and algebra for over twenty years, and currently tutor those subjects both in person and via the internet. I also teach reading and writing skills. I have worked with students of all ages including adults. Flexible fees and hours, your home or mine, video chat sessions via Skype, FaceTime, etc. References gladly supplied upon request. Please see my reviews for a sampling of how satisfied my clients are with my services! I spent many years as an educator and, after retirement, found that I sorely missed teaching. That is why I turned to tutoring...for self-fulfillment and as a way of utilizing my skills and experience to help others. I pride myself on my ability to bond, communicate, impart information, and help students appreciate their own specials gifts while finding success through achievement.

I am highly recommending Lenore Klein as a tutor. She has helped my children grow as students, and they look forward to working with her. Lenore explains difficult concepts in a way that the children understand.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I am flexible. I don't watch the clock.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been teaching since 1977. I began my career in New York City as a special education teacher, specializing in reading and math remediation. There, I worked in the public school system, teaching elementary through middle school grades. After moving to New Jersey and obtaining my license here, I taught at both the high school and middle school levels, specializing in language arts and math. Most recently, until retirement, I taught middle school math through Algebra. I have a masters degree in education. I pride myself on being intuitive, patient, knowledgable and methodical. I know how to explain processes in a variety of ways and have a keen sense of my students' needs and progress. I believe in what I do and my ability to do it.
