I cannot comment on the quality of his painting, so this review is simply on the reliability of communication, which may be a reflection of other factors, including the limitations of my own schedule. I initially arranged an afternoon to be available to meet with him (1pm), and at 4pm I received a call that he would be running late. I responded and continued waiting, but was ultimately "stood up", and the next day received an email regarding an unexpected event. In trying to schedule again, was given the option of days, as well as a plan to review color swatches, but didn't hear back from him for confirmation until 10 minutes before (he was on en route to my place)... unfortunately, I was completing my own move and could not be there at that very moment, and never received the color swatches in advance for his plan to paint that same day. There is room for improvement here, as it is inappropriate to make a client wait unnecessarily, drag a job along three weeks, and certainly a better way of communicating/confirming when he was available to work, especially since he had my phone number...

Good job overall. Could've been more careful when it came to protecting the surfaces under where the paint was being applied. Aside from that, price and work were pretty good.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each job is different but there are three key factors that go into my bid: cost of materials, (bid at cost) standard fee per labor hour and mileage to the job.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Preferably I would like to start with a conversation on the phone. Then i would schedule a time to stop by their home to see what needs to be done. I will give you a bid on site and in most cases can get started right away.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been around skilled trades people all of my life and have been doing odd jobs for people for around twelve years.
