FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I pride myself on keeping my overhead as low as possible, no flashy signage or storefronts, just reasonable rates for my labor and mark-ups on material to cover my time and delivery only.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll come out for a free estimate, measure it all out, get a rough idea of what you'd like, discuss the various options, and then send you a link to an itemized estimate, usually within a day or two. As we communicate prior to the start date, the estimate will update and the same link can be used to view changes. Once the project starts, I'll track expenses and labor costs in the same way, making sure you are apprised of any changes first. I know the frustration of receiving an invoice miles above the estimated cost without prior warning so I've found tracking this way, eliminates much of that issue!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree and am a licensed nurse, but staying home with my twins when they were little allowed me to realize I had more interest in remodeling old homes than I ever did for wearing scrubs, although I do still spend alot of time in face masks and gloves! It probably struck me the most when I managed to move the kitchen in my own home to a new location while caring for two infants. You really have to enjoy what you're doing to make that work!
